Das War Nicht Gut

We love to eat. And we love getting out of the house. And a few weeks ago we got a discounted gift card to a restaurant we've never tried before but have heard good things about from family members. Put these three things together, and you've got yourself a Sunday afternoon outing.

Since we had heard great things from this Bavarian themed restaurant we were quite excited to get there.
Who knows what delights await us inside the pretzel themed door?
We're finally getting the kids-in-the-restaurant-thing down, and were seated and ordered before the waitress knew what hit her. Then, the wait. If you have kids, you know what I'm talking about. You sit, you wait, and you hope that something entertaining or edible comes your way before the kids get antsy. And when nothing does, you just look at your spouse mildly amused that she's taking pictures of you when one of the kids is having a fit.
And then the bread basket arrives! YES! Both food, and for Grady, entertainment.
Then sadly the rest of the meal arrived. Our hopes were to enjoy a meal with new dishes we had not tried before, but we quickly learned that either the kitchen was having an off day, or our idea of good food was different than our family members.

We ate what we could, and dashed out of there. On to better things, boys! You'll notice Cole still has his piece of bread in hand. Yes, the same piece as the beginning of the meal.
This restaurant is near Stone Mountain, a GA state park, and we had just purchased season passes, so we thought we'd go exploring a bit. And maybe walk off some of the German oil. Keith and I had our engagement photos taken at this mill on the park grounds, and today we headed back to the mill.
All in all, not a bad relaxing Sunday.
