Well, Hello

It's been brought to my attention that I am slacking on the blogfront. Sooooo sorry. I'll work on my priorities and will do better to keep you people entertained. I've not organized my pictures, or my thoughts for that matter, but let's chat a little.

Sidenote: In my absence blogspot went and changed the formatting. OH LAWD, I dont know if I can handle any more change.

We're in the new house, and we're adjusting. We have a few more boxes left, but it's finally feeling live-able, and last night I even organized clothes in the master closet so I don't have to hear over and over how someone just doesn't have any underwear to wear.

Colors are picked for the house. Ready? We did use Sea Salt. LOVE it. We also used Austere Gray, and I am not kidding when I say that I pat myself on the back every time I walk past that room. Great color. Another color: BM's Storm Cloud Gray. Dark and sexy! And this for most of the house: BM's Edgecomb Gray. And these 3 colors are going elsewhere in the house: Misty, Uncertain Gray, and Patient White. Come visit in about 3-4 weeks and you can see all the colors on the walls.

Amidst all the unpacking and work stress, we have been having some fun. We had our first visitors! Two sets of them, actually. Baby Aidan came all the way from Phoenix to see his favorite Auntie (points at self). He may also have been going on a week-long family vacation with his blood relatives, but I think that was just added onto a visit with me, not vice versa. Pictures of hims cuteness (as Cole would say) a little later. This past weekend we had a visit from Nana, Oupa, Aunt Karen and Uncle Scott and Greg, Sara and Rhett. Good times! A little snippet of what we did most of the day:

Love how a little pool-time can make a kid sleep. We also started swim lessons last night, and our group class turned into private lessons for the boys. Thanks for not showing up, other parents!

Our new house's location has significantly altered my work commute. I am almost to the point of liking getting up early, which I take as a sign that I'm getting old. I am joining a vanpool thing for commuting purposes, and I like the idea, but I dont think I'm going to like the reality. Me, alone, early=OK. Me, 14 other people in one van, early=not ok. But it's cheaper and Momma likes to shop, so I'll do it. Expect good fodder from those hourlong rides each way.

We're in week two of this crazy nonsense we started. So far, so good.

Panera coffee is the best.

I need a reason to wear (and money to afford) this dress

Anyone else planning their Christmas shopping? Or for that matter, daydreaming about the Christmas cookies you're gonna bake? And consume.

There we go, nice easing back into things. See you tomorrow!
