Ellerman Family Vacation 2013: Boston, Day 1

Oh, how I love this city. I had great plans of moving here once I graduated from college, but a certain redhead derailed those. Can't exactly hold it against him, things turned out just fine. But man, I love this place.

Our travel here was good. Flight was good, public transit was good, the walking we had to do was good. And by good, I mean we had to carry all the boys stuff and constantly monitor them. You know, the usual.

We we ravenous when we got to our hotel so we checked in, dumped our bags in the room and went in search of some food. We got a little distracted on our walk.

Our hotel is near Chinatown, and when in Rome, we eat like Romans. Today's lunch was Vietnamese Bahn Mai. I'd never had that, but turns out that is Vietnamese for damn delicious. They;re basically subs, in the most crusty and delicious bread with really tasty meat inside.

The boys had to be convinced to try the new food, but once they did, they loved it.

With full belly, we napped. For a long time. A really long time. And it was great. Now the rest of the pics were taken with the iPhone, so the quality is not great. Once we got up from the nap we headed to Boston Common, and someone may have been so excited to get moving that she forgot the good camera in the room.

The weather is breezy, but beautiful.

We encountered some fierce and cool sea dragons.

And rounded out our day with some food and a stop at an Asian bakery for dessert. Yummy and interesting treats.

This guy let me try his.
I asked Cole if I could try a bite of his, but he said that was how germs spread.

Bellies are full and we are relaxing and getting ready for Day 2.
