Courtesy of the pain meds

Pain meds are good in the way that they make your mind drift and you remember things you meant to do a while back, but then they also disable your ability to actually get those things done. Make sense, people? Consider that a warning that there is going to be some random pics and postings coming your way.

Surgery on the ankle is done. All I'll say is nerve block=awesome. Nerve block wearing off at 1am=not awesome. A husband that insists on rolling around on bed causing non-nerve-blocked-leg-to-bounce=even less awesome. That's the only update on the leg I'll give other than to say rolling husband has been a (mostly) non-complaining fantastic nurse. Without him tending to me here, and without Nana and Oupa watching the boys, the last few days would have been impossible.

On to happier things. The boys finished their first season of Lil' Kickers a few weeks ago. They did so good! We're taking a break for the summer so we can enjoy as much pool time as possible, but we plan on getting back to soccer ball kicking in the fall.

Look how big our goddaughter is already! BabyGirl is precious. This was taken at her brother's third birthday party.
While looking for pics of her brother on this bday, I got distracted by pictures taken on another day, when we went kite-flying. While his expresssion doesnt show it, he really was excited about the excursion...

It was a really, really gusty day, but some of us were successful at keeping the kite airborn. I won't brag or anything, but it was me.

It's not that he wasn't trying....

We got bored with the kites and switched to good ole ball throwing and running.

And retired to the house to play with dad's iPhone. Fun!

I feel like I wanted to make a specific point after sharing these pics, hmmm...cant remember what that might be. The boys are sharing? Maybe that's it. Who knows. Until later, peoples.
