Muffins with Mom

This morning I went to the boys school for Muffins with Mom. This was a big deal apparently, and I got assistance picking my shoes, lipstick shade, earrings, and was handed my make-up bag as I was getting ready. I like to think the boys are just attentive to details and not that they think when left to my own devices I look like a slob. Hmmm.

So  I managed to get decent, and we went to school and got our muffins. I was served mine, but then they temporarily ran out. The teacher tried to ask G to share with her, but G have her this look. This look says, lady I need my own muffin.

To distract the muffin-needing boy, she brought over their handmade gifts, which I LOVE. Love. Love.
We discussed the making of the frames and before you knew it, muffins arrived and happiness was restored.
Though you'd never know it from the pictures we took. Can no one smile for mommy? As a sidenote, my hair appointment is later today. Really wish it had been yesterday...
So we sat and ate the muffins and then G asked me where I was going to put my new pictures they made me. I thought out loud-maybe in my office, or on the bedside table? G liked those options, but C grabbed his and said I'm putting this in my room.  Uhmm. Hmmm. Seems the idea of making something for mommy   was fun, but he didn't care for the idea of mommy actually taking that item. When I asked if I could put it in my room, this was my response.
And for the next 5 minutes he longingly stared at the frame he made...
G, being more willing to part with his items, agreed to pose. C wanted none of this.
...and opted to hide. See him?

And now, for the grand finale of Muffins with Mom, the kids are to perform a little number for the moms. cant wait to see the singing and dancing! Oh wait....is G supposed to be standing all the way over to the side?
And is C supposed to be crawling like a tiger? Surely not...
So here we have it, below you see my boys' contribution to this morning's performance. Sullen/non-participatory and ground-loving crawling/shy. Gave me a good chuckle, which may have scared the little girl next to Cole...
Happy pre-Mother's Day!
