Day 2 + I am forgetful

Update: Dammit, Blogspot, you froze and I lost most of my very long and witty blog entry. Here is a shorter recap.

So sometimes I think I posted a blog entry, but then I look back here and there's nothing. Like this entry. This little lady had her 9th birthday a week ago, and I thought I told you about it.

So a belated happy birthday to Sara! Or, Oooooora, as the boys used to call her. Sometimes its sad that they speak so clearly now.

 She tore into her presents.
And here is proof that Karen likes her, she got the balloon and streamers treatment.
And let's see. What else did I think I told you about? More of our vacation's first day....

Which had more amazing waterfall views.

Covered bridge.
Would have stopped for more pics, but the bridge was loaded with horse manure. Not anyone's favorite smell, but any means...

Just past the bridge there was an alleged trail to another waterfall, and we were still feeling brave enough to do several more miles to find the new waterfall. At this point we are still smiling.
But we walked and walked. And found no such waterfall and turned back. And walked forever and forever and may have gotten a little grumpy.
But this delicious bowl full of fruit waiting in our cooler perked us right up. Hhhm. Tasty fruit.
We drove, found out dad had a biking accident-geez, old man, way to scare us!-and got to our hotel. While waiting for Keith to get our bags, I started wondering what I look like most of our vacation. And this is it.
Yes, I am easy to entertain. And here is what Keith looks like during most of our vacation:
Haha, I kid. He gets bored when I take forever to get ready and was reading the beer label out loud. Always learning, we are!

The rest of our night was good, a great dinner at LAB, followed by a great shared dessert at Old Europe cafe and a windy walk home. At the restaurant we sat at the front bar section of the patio and faced the street. Very entertaining in a city with lots of townies and  random electic folks. And when we were tired of watching them, we tried the brews.
And I lusted after the store across the street with all the star lanterns in the window. I have a thing for stars.
More townie watching.
The restaurant. Cool logo.
And dessert. Hmmmm.
